This is new this year! Modeled on the “Emmaus Mass,” which we offer for students in our Confirmation program, we are adding a new program for families with younger children.
We firmly believe that parents are the first and best teachers of the Catholic faith: You are the ones who live the faith with your children every day by teaching them to pray, bringing them to Mass, and preparing them for the sacraments. However, many parents have told us that they would like more support in passing on the Catholic faith.
The Family Mass is once a month on Sunday evenings at 5 pm, at St. Mark, from October through March. After Mass, join us in the social center for a time to gather with other families, learn a little more about our Catholic faith, do some activities related to the liturgical season with your children, and sometimes share a simple, potluck meal. Each month we will have a different theme. Watch our communication tools for information monthly.
All ages are welcome but the program will be aimed at families with children ages 11 and under. After Mass, join us in the social center for a time to gather with other families, learn a little more about our faith, do some activities related to the liturgical season with your children, and usually share a simple, potluck meal.
