My passion for education started when I was very young. I come from a family of educators, and quality education was a value I was taught to hold in high regard. I believe that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. Just like SACS, I believe in educating the whole child, and it is my desire to help build upon an atmosphere where students can grow to meet their full potential.
I have been teaching in the Archdiocese of St. Paul & Minneapolis since 2006. Before coming to SACS; I taught kindergarten and served as an assistant principal and a principal within our local dioceses. I attended the University of St. Thomas, where I received a degree in Elementary Education, my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a certificate in Differentiated Education, and my Education Specialist Degree.
I am married to my husband Brian, and I am a mother to three children, all of who are products of Catholic school. I know firsthand the gift we have in our Catholic schools and the community they provide not only to our children but to our families as well. I love to read, bike, and travel; but most of my time currently is spent chasing my new puppy around the yard. Now that my children are mostly grown (24, 20, and 18), I treasure anytime we get to spend together (even if they don't love it as much as I do).
I am excited to be at SACS and be a part of the great work happening here. I look forward to getting to know the students and their families as each new year begins!
